Jun. 8, 2009

Abbeville, Ala. -

For the third year in a row, Greenbush Logistics, Inc. (GLI) has been named Carrier of the Year by Owens Corning’s Houston plant.

“It never gets old hearing a customer say ‘thanks,’” says Larry Barnes, GLI’s General Manager – Dedicated Services. “I tip my hat to the entire team in Columbus, Texas, for their commitment in making Greenbush Logistics an industry leader.”

Owens Corning recognizes trucking, air and rail carriers for their superior service and on-time performance. It is the third year in a row that GLI has received the Carrier of the Year award for the Houston plant. Owens Corning annually recognizes carriers of all types for their service on both inbound and outbound transportation service, and for their extraordinary commitment to Owens Corning.

With more than 200 company-owned trucks on the road, Greenbush Logistics, Inc.,  based in Abbeville, Ala., began by providing logistics services to Great Southern Wood Preserving, Inc., the largest provider of pressure treated lumber products in the nation. As the company’s fleet grew, so did the level of expertise. Soon GLI earned a reputation as an outstanding freight management source. On-time pickup and delivery of freight is a priority at GLI.

“I am proud to be associated with such fine men and women who rise above expectations and outperform the competition,” says Barnes. We’ve never been keen on being the biggest, but rather, strive to be the best at what we do. I’m delighted to be a member of our winning team.”

Greenbush Logistics, Inc. and Great Southern Wood Preserving, Inc. are wholly-owned subsidiaries of Great Southern Wood Holdings, Inc.
